Fine Tuning (Finomhangolás)

2026, installation

'Fine Tuning' is an installation based on panoramic recordings and sound experiments, emerging from research conducted during the artist's residency in Rome. The project investigates traces of Hungarian presence within the historical and contemporary fabric of the city through the subtle vibrations of urban life and through the interactions between environment, architectural space, light, and sound.

The installation is situated in Palazzo Falconieri, home of the Hungarian Academy in Rome. The work attempts to translate sound-based research into another sensory modality, transforming audible phenomena into spatial and visual forms. Layered textiles, embroidery hoops, found objects, images, and sound do not function as independent elements but as interconnected components of an ongoing process of observation and inquiry.

The title refers to a continuous state of attunement: a form of attention capable of perceiving subtle changes in the surrounding environment, through which space, light, sound, and memory become interconnected.
