'Sundial'' is based on an image capturing the artist's shadow in the courtyard of Sant'Ivo alla Sapienza in Rome. The figure standing at the centre of the space does not appear directly; instead, the shadow itself becomes the point of departure for the work.
The composition is constructed from countless small image fragments. On closer inspection, details of the courtyard's stone pavement emerge alongside visual traces drawn from the artist's earlier works and from places that have shaped her artistic journey. From a distance, the image appears as an abstract composition, while its details reveal a network of personal and concrete memories. The final image is the result of an artist-developed image-making process that combines multiple visual sources and layers of time into a single composition.

The work simultaneously records place, time, and presence. The artist's life journey condenses into a single presence at a specific place and moment.
